Where is Estadio Morelos?
Estadio Morelos is in colonia Leandro Valle on the western side of Morelia. Club Atlético Morelia gives the address as Estadio Morelos, Libramiento Poniente s/n, colonia Leandro Valle, Morelia, Michoacán. A stadium reference gives another address: Periférico Paseo de la República s/n, 58147 Morelia, Mexico.
The stadium was built in 1989, and its official name honours José María Morelos y Pavón. Its capacity is 38,869 seats, with a natural-grass pitch measuring 110 m by 70 m.
If you are planning time elsewhere in the city, the Morelia historic centre guide covers the central area. The stadium and the historic centre are distinct parts of the city, so allow for a separate journey between them.
How do you check events, tickets and entry rules?
The club has its calendar and results online, along with ticket and season-pass information. Check those official club pages for the fixture or event you plan to attend, then confirm the relevant ticket and entry instructions before setting out.
Entry arrangements can differ between events. Check your ticket for its assigned gate and any section-specific directions; do not assume that instructions for one event apply to another.
How do you get to Estadio Morelos and plan your arrival?
From Hotel Estefania, the stadium is about a 21-minute drive. Its published address is a useful destination to give a driver, but the best approach and traffic conditions can vary with the event.
You could pair a visit with time in Morelia’s historic centre, which is a distinct part of the city. For a match or concert, check the event’s own arrival information before leaving, especially for parking access, entry times and gate assignments.
If you are travelling around the city by other means, getting around Morelia by walking, taxi and local transport explains the available city transport options.
For current event schedules and ticket details, check the official site before you go.
What should you plan for when leaving after an event?
Arrange your return journey with the event’s traffic and transport arrangements in mind. Access roads or parking rules may be set for a particular event, so verify the directions that apply to your ticket and the event rather than relying on a plan from another date.
If you are using a taxi or another pickup, agree on a meeting point that follows the event’s instructions and allows for any access restrictions. The club’s calendar and event information are the best starting points for confirming what applies on the day.
